Fire and Ice. And wind.

This trip was in November 2018. We had heard a lot about Iceland, and if I had a bucket list, this would be on it. It did not disappoint. We flew to Iceland on Icelandair. I booked the trip through Liberty Travel. (this is a non-compensated endorsement ). We flew on a red-eye flight. All transfers were included, and we were in the morning Reykajvik rush hour traffic before we knew it. The people of Iceland are the nicest you can find. Our hotel in Reykjavik, (lucky for us) had our room ready even before check-in time. With our room set, off we went for a full day of sightseeing. The Golden Circle. Very touristy, but beautiful. Being quite far north this time of year it does not stay daylight for long. The tour I booked was a small group tour. As it turned out, Gayle and I were the small group. Our guide Victor, (think of a Viking, and you will know what he looked like), took us all over northwest Iceland. The people, (did I say they were nice), the views, history, and culture were amazing. And yes, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights.
